Agreed Rob. A few tweaks here and there and you remove the incentives that lure migrants in the first place. And American foreign policy is virtually designed to create those refugees. Kind of happened to the UK and France too after colonizing faraway lands. At some point though free movement becomes inevitable. It's crime and behavior that will be 'tracked and traced' and dealt with under a system of total surveillance. And people will beg for it.
If they want to reduce illegal immigration they should reverse what Reagan started. He stopped enforcing laws against companies that hire illegals.
This is a totally manufactured situation caused by our illegal interventions in many nations, causing economic refugees.
